TRUE North Education Hub was founded in 2021 in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
We are proud of our roots. Our mission is to strive for a better understanding of our context, and particularly of the inequalities which affect children and families here in the north of England.
We believe education should be about developing fully rounded human beings, able to live a full and fulfilled life, equipped for the world of work but also for self-awareness and self-expression, as well as active citizenship, belonging and community.
We are interested in taking on any projects related to education, children’s and teachers’ experiences in schools, and broad issues of social justice.

Rachel is the founder of TRUE North Education Hub.
She is also a Visiting Research Fellow at Leeds University Business School
